Tata Nano GenX Automatic:

The Tata Nano GenX with its new automatic manual transmission (AMT) which is christened as ‘Easy Shift’ brags the title to be the most affordable automatic car on sale in the country. Apart from the automatic transmission, the Tata Nano Gen X sports the same engine as the original Nano. Which means it is the same two-cylinder, 624cc unit that makes 38PS on tap. The GenX returns fuel-efficiency figures of 21.9kmpl and is priced between Rs 1.99 kah-2.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Maruti Alto K10 Automatic:

One more automatic car in our list for the woman of today is the Maruti Alto K10 Automatic. The Alto K10 is the second car in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio to get the popular AMT after the Celerio. The Alto is equipped with a 998cc 3-cylinder K10 engine which develops 68PS of power and 90PS of torque. It delivers an ARAI certified mileage figure of 24.07kmpl. The Alto K10 is available in six colours and four variants. The car is priced between Rs 3.0 lakh-3.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new Micra X-Shift launched by the carmaker is apt for the modern Indian woman. The mid-level Micra comes equipped with a CVT automatic gearbox and has also received a new interior with minor exterior updates. Up until now, the Micra automatic was only available in the top-of-the-line XV version, but now the CVT gearbox is also available in the mid-level XL variant and is christened the X-Shift. The Micra X-Shift comes with a 1.2-litre petrol unit that is capable of churning out 76PS of power and 104Nm of torque delivering ARAI fuel-efficiency figures of 19.34kmpl. The car is priced at Rs 6.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) or Rs 6.67 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

Honda City Petrol Automatic:

The stylish Honda City is one car that our women readers would definitely love to drive around in. Who doesn’t love this car, for that matter? The fourth generation City has an evolved design over its predecessor and is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. After three generation of the petrol-only Honda City, the Japanese carmaker introduced the car with a diesel heart to cater to wider customer base. Although the car is available in both petrol and diesel engine options, it is the petrol engine that is available with a 5-speed continuous variable transmission (CVT) automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre i-VTEC mill is capable of delivering 119PS of power and 145Nm of torque. The CVT is more efficient than the manual achieving an ARAI certified figure of 18kmpl compared to 17.9kmpl on the manual. The Honda City automatic costs Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Hyundai Creta Diesel Automatic:

The go-getter woman of today can look forward to yet another automatic car that will launch this month just before the festive season kickstarts. The Creta will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options, however, it is the 1.6-litre diesel mill producing 128PS of power and 260Nm of torque which will be available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox option. Once launched, the Creta will be the most affordable diesel SUV available in the country. Expect the automatic variant of the Creta to come priced at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
