Spoiled son burns Ferrari so that rich dad could buy him a new one

The world is a strange place indeed, and it isn’t short of some bizarre people as well. Our belief in this fact is reinstated with a shocking incidence where a 20-year-old son of a Swiss millionaire set his Ferrari 458 Italia ablaze so that his father could buy him a new one. No, we aren’t kidding.

The Ferrari was one among the fleet of cars which also included a Lamborghini which the 20-year-old’s rich father had bought for him. The spoilt son has also been given a property portfolio worth Rs 197.34 crore and also received Rs 6.5 lakh each month from his father for his expenses. Despite all these luxuries, the 20-year-old man still wanted an upgraded Ferrari.

The spoilt Swiss man stated that he was asked by a car dealer to commit an insurance fraud. He decided to set his car on fire with the help of his friends. However, to cover his act he decided to execute this plan over the border in Southern Germany. The 20-year-old paid his partners-in-crime a good Rs 9.8 lakh.

His plan was, however, foiled after security cameras captured this drama. The spoilt son was arrested and produced before the court. The 20-year-old stated in the court that he was running short of funds by the time this incident occurred and feared to tell his father that he did not like the Ferrari.

The court has sentenced this Swiss man to 22 months’ probation and also fined him Rs 21 lakh.
