News & Features Recent Launches Chevrolet Beat Diesel Launched
i purchased the car 1 month ago and its phenominal its average is mindblowing and its having one of the best diesel engine as far as the diesel hatchback market is concerned.
the car is delivering 19-20 kmpl in city and 23 on highways
really a gem
moreover the pickup and all are also good .
and the best part is there is a full cover warranty from gm for 3 years or 100000km on full engine and suspension delivering piece of mind .
at last 2 they are having free helpline service for beat diesel which wont charge you for the parts even in case of breakdown any where on a go.
exorbitant price not worth buying gm would have thought twice before arriving on such big price
3 cylinders are oudated.Even Maruti is strugling to sell thier 3 cylinder varaints and is offering heavy discounts but not on 4 cylinder variants like Swift and Ritz.
Beat 4 cylinder , 16 valve petrol version is still better choice because of engine specifications and price.
If the BEAT Diesel is available at 4.6 Lacs (On Road Price for LT, the Fully Loaded Model), then it will be Super Hit Compact Hatch back Car. Otherwise, it has to crawl against its peers.
so much price difference,,,for such a small diesel engine????i dont think it is worthy.
original manufacturing cost of such a baby sized 936cc 3 cylinder diesel engine is Rs.40000 more than its 1200cc petrol engine.
GM lost the golden opportunity again to become market leader.
i think the pricing is on the higher side..Maruti Suzuki Ritz diesel is cheap then the Beat diesel..whereas Ritz is a 1.3 lit diesel engine with much more boot space then Beat..people will prefer Ritz then Beat..
Chevrolet got terrible service back up and pathetic average.
people end up losing more money on Fuel then they save on free service. They have few service centre and they do shaddy service.
Not worth buying.
I think if it would have been prised at around the same price point as petrol or around 4 lak it would have been a much better proposition
Why to buy this when its so expensive compared to its petrol version with much lesser capacity in every aspect. Not worth the money
Please wait until December 2011 and you will be getting a definite discount of Rs. 50,000 for LT Model from current Price.
Rs.75,000 more than petrol version?
not worth more than Rs.30,000 for such a small 3 cylinder 935cc diesel engine.
terrific mistake from GM and lost golden opportunity
Cabin is not very well insulated in Beat, you can listen to the diesel engine clatter even with music running on high volume. Turbo lag is too much and feather lite steering does not give enough confidence at high speeds.
