Yamaha to bring the 09' R1

Buying a Bike ? Get Best Deal

Yamaha India will soon bring in the 2010 Yamaha YZF-R1 superbike to the Indian shores in coming months.

The bike will be legally available at selected Yamaha dealerships across the nation and the company will provide complete service and spare part backup to the customers of this elite motorcycles. Yamaha is already selling the older generation YZF-R1 and the street-fighter model, the MT-01. The 2010 model YZF-R1 carries forward the revolutionary MotoGP-inspired crossplane crankshaft technology as seen on the 2009 model.

The crossplane crankshaft technology adopts an un-even firing order of the cylinders unlike typical inline-four cylinder engines for improved rideability and more accessible power delivery. The new YZF-R1 borrows host of technologies from Yamaha's MotoGP race-bike, the YZR-M1 and incorporates them suitably for the street on the YZF-R1. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yukimine Tsuji, CEO & MD, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd., said, "This launch signifies our successful brand transformation efforts in India."

Yamaha needs to control their dealers from exploiting customers during paid services. They misguide the customers saying a lot of unnecessory things to be done other than than those advised in the manual to squeeze money. It's very rampant at most of the dealers with false advises like clutch servicing for every 3000 kms for 300 rupees at Perfect riders. and brake setting for 100 extra rupees, which is part of and included in the paid service. | Reply

It's very true that those greedy service points take your bills upto thousands during paid services. We don't have any option to escape from greedy parasites as the vehicles are under warranty and are eligible only serviced by those offenders. It's hard to shell all your money only in the name of service which gives a bad reputation of very expensive to maintain bike, even if are not spending on spares. | Reply
