Test Drive Suzuki SX4

The SX4 was launched internationally as a cross-over hatch first and then as a sedan in India.

So it's no surprise that Suzuki is launching the hatch version in India as well. The hatch will inherit the sedans ample interior space, the excellent ground clearance and in addition to smaller engines, possibly the 1.6 litre VVT unit as well. Loaded to the gills, expect it to compete in the premium hatch segment.

I think it wil be natural for Maruti to launch this car for those looking to upgrade from Swift. Being a Swift owner myself I am eagerly looking forward to see this car launched. | Reply

This is the real model needed in India which having a very good infra for servicing and if they come with automatic , it is a big succces . but when will come --- | Reply

I dont think it'll be launched in india now - if they do it - the premium that they charge on the sedan will go. They will get it in when the sedan model in India is obsolete | Reply

as far as my knowledge with the industry...SX$ hatch is not going to make its way to INDIA even though it had been displayed at the Auto Expo 2010, Delhi | Reply

This is a new trend that the Maruti people are starting. First they bring a sedan and then they remove the boot, its just opposite what they did with the Swift. Great going Maruti. | Reply
