| Hyundai Verna The Hyundai Verna's 1.5 litre CRDi diesel motor is a lot of fun when to drive with its peppy power delivery and superb refinement. Hyundai has definitely improved the quality of its cars over the years and one of the first cars to see better parts quality was the Verna model. Overall, the car is a decent buy but not quite a smasher on all fronts. The handling isn't all that great and the styling takes time to grow over you. Fuel economy is just average, but when you give her the stick, it drops significantly. However, the strong point Verna diesel has in its kitty is phenomenal in-town driveability and very good performance. Mitsubishi Lancer Mitsubishi's old workhorse, the Lancer hasn't received any major upgrades since its launch and now its age clearly shows. The car boasts of solid build quality and refined motor but the dated looks and lousy handling hamper the overall performance of the Lancer. The modern-day sedans are way ahead in terms of equipment, feel, comfort and driveability. Especially the new Ford Fiesta which is miles ahead of its diesel counterparts as an overall product. |
