SUV aficionados get prepared to be dazzled by Hyundai. Debuting at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September would be the ix35, the European version of the all-new Tuscon which made its debut in South Korea in August 2009.
Unlike the Korean version though, the ix35 would sport an even more radical take on its exterior, a design language which Hyundai refers to as "fluidic sculpture." And when you see it from the exclusive images here, it isn't hard to understand why.

The second all-new concept which Hyundai is unveiling at Frankfurt is the ix-Metro, a daring new Hybrid Electric CUV for the European sub-B segment. This sub-B segment is one of the most hotly contested segments of the European car market and is probably the right segment for Hyundai to populate with more cars given the success of the i10 on the continent. The ix-Metro is the fifth in a series of concept cars created by Hyundai's Global Design Team based at its R&D centre at Namyang in South Korea. The ix-Metro is claimed to be ultra clean with CO2 levels of just 80g/km and helping it in this regard is the use of an all new 1.0-litre three-cylinder motor which is tech-heavy. Sporting direct fuel injection, dual CVVT turbochargers and transmitting the drive to the front wheels via a 6-speed dual clutch transmission, the ix-Metro is quite a formidable package to confront the European small car makers in their very bastion.
