Most of the Fiat's cars including Punto are underpowered.Even their famed diesel is more sprightly in Swift diesel.. How can they use only 65 bhp for Punto. Its not enough fordriving with AC. | Reply

Having driven the european verison of the Punto i should it is a agile, small and sporty car. Its easy to drive can keep with up with the big boys and infact when i was driving it was ahead of a 2 litre big boy, comfortable and sporty. The steering felt light and responded fast to my demands. If they can keep up with the european standards then my next car would be a Punto but if they are getting out a version customed to the Indian road the its a no no for me. | Reply

Everything is fine with the car BUT network..?? And Petrol engine is too much underpower. 65 Bhp..?? Need atleast 80 Bhp. i10, A-Star deliver more power. Most important there is NO reverse gear lamp on Right. Only one side reverse gear lamp that also, too low makes car very risky in rough (Bumper to Bumper driving) Indian traffic and Left hand side cramped parking | Reply

Great car! Fabulous design and features but a bland engine. Tighten your belts, Fiat and get a powerful engine! | Reply

NO, Fiat will not reduce Punto length. It already did so for the new Fiat Palio. | Reply

With the laucnh of the Linea Fiat has made a come back as a manufacturer of quality cars with un-surpassed italian design flair. the Grande Punto will take the game further. However I have a grouse.. The engines are a tad too small for these not-so-light italians. The 1.3multijet may do a good job in the MS Swift, T Indica and the Palio. They are underpowerd for applicatons of higher calling and image. Does fiat not have a 1.6 or 1.8 multijet for these cars. It is science that a smaller engine must be working at its top end power most of the time to move heavier cars. A larger engine will work lesser strained and at lower rpms to move the mass, thus fuel economy will not be a major difference too!I think, all manufacturers must consider this. Cars that are more drivable and tractable, which make unstressed driving easily available to the driver will be appreciated better. Having small engines for tax and excise benefits may help commercially only for limited period. As word spreads about the under-powerdness of the cars, potential customers will back away. Any way who wants to drive at high rpm in lower gears, with constant gear changes in our congested urban jungles??!! | Reply
