Fiat Bravo

Fiat Bravo

In India by: Jan 2009

Will cost: Rs 6-7 lakh

Thoroughly Italian in its looks and European in appeal, the Fiat Bravo was set to take CBU route into India and act as a brand builder for Fiat.

After Fiat's major investments in its Ranjangaon facility, however, the Bravo will now be made in India - a fact that will bring down its prices and increase its chances of widespread success. Competing with the Fabia and bigger sedans, this fabulous hatch features brilliant interiors, lots of space and a powerful 1.9 litre multijet oilburner. If arriving in style is what you want, the Bravo will do it in spades in 2009.

I have gone for a ride on Fiat bravo in Germany, its the fiat's best under hatchbacks. Its a good competitor for small hatchbacks in india. May be for VW golf - Higher end. But i seriously doubt the price it would be nothing less than 8-10 lcks in india. | Reply

The car will never be priced at 6-7 lakhs. Wonder from where Zig Wheels gets its information. I will be surprised if it is launched at anything less than 10 Lakhs. | Reply

Bravo is the car that one should look for. I saw this car in the India Auto Expo in 2008 and I was madly in love with the car. I have been waiting for its launch since then. I hope Fiat launches this car in India soon and it also has an affordable price tag. I would love to buy this car. Zigwheels - please let me know if you folks get to know when is it launching in India. | Reply

Pricing is the key to Bravos success.Brand perception of Fiat in India ism poor, very poor. Service which is in the hands of Tata Motors is only marginally better.Fiat and Tata cannot compete with Honda and Toyota on all scores. Even Hyundai is way ahead on quality and service. However the Bravo is a good looking car but as the say beauty is only skin deep. The customer is so much wiser today and has so many options that Fiat have to pull up their socks or this will fail like the Sienna did. Pricing is very important to lure customers and then Fiat have to deliver on quality and service if they are to stay in the Indian market. | Reply

this is a fantastic product from the stable of honda but as v indians are very price and performance sensitive, jazz has failed to woo the indian customers only cos of high pricing. i m myself a great admirer of jazz but for the high pricing i hav not been able to purchase. i think honda should seriously consider to the lower the price to make is popular. | Reply
