hey, according to me comparing with the technical specifications of other vehicles at the same rate, it is a outstanding and amazing vehicle.... it has 4 wheel drive, 2.0L cc, overall of 19kmpl with diesel, sunroof, high suspension, cruise control, reverse parking sensors(in LTZ model, if u r going to buy cruze then g for LTZ varriant) , climate control, rain sensing wiper, anti theft, both wheel disc, seat lumbar support, multi function steering wheel, brake assist, now see which car is coming with all these specifications at the same rate... | Reply

Its a nice car. But before you buy a Chevy, check out the service centers. I have a spark as a second car, and was planning to trade in my Honda City for a new Cruze, but my experience with the service centers has ensured that I would prob never buy a Chevy again. | Reply

Hey All Bosses;I was very keen on this car and took a day off and visited a dealer for a test drive. while it is indeed a great looking car, I was not able to get in and sit properly in the car. (I am 6 ft tall and my head was hitting the roof of the car!! ) In fact the sales person who was attending me confessed that this is an issue with this car wherein a tall person is not comfortable either sitting in the drivers seat or at the back !!! I wonder how this has not been highlighted by all the magazines and great car experts who are reviewing this product. In fact I feel the designers (Especially for an American brand where people are tall and huge!!) have got this matter wrong. ?? I was really disappointed since I genuinely interested to buy this car. Some one please respond in case there is a difference in view to this issue. I would like someone who is at least 6 ft tall and tried this car in India to share his experience with me. | Reply
akhil (29 March 2010 12:30) Reply to Tom
Absolutely right tall people do hav a problem sitting in this car morever car does not provide cabin space its too less as compared to civic and altis i felt it so | Reply

Agree with you tom!I waited for this car's launch.. I bought a Chevy Optra LT 2.0 diesel..Was at the showroom at hosur road, bangalore.. My heart was at cruze but mind said optra! I would have got on to both the cars back to back atleast 7-8 times before deciding.. It was very simple.. thanks to the sales person.. He only asked me to stand by.. he is about 6 ft tall.. he got into the rear seat.. and asked me to observe.. voila! I had my answer..! :)This car is actually flawed with the head room!! :) yes, its true.. no one is mentioning about it! i am just 5.10 and i felt need for some more air on the rear seat.. especially if 3 are seated! over all comfort, not upto my expectations.. fully loaded optra at 11 something made more more sense than a stripped down cruze at no frills for 13 odd lakhs! no dead pedal too.. found the cruze a li'l sluggish in city.. Though the forte of this car is highway driving/cruzing pleasure! sadly no roads in india for such high speed cruzing.. though both the cars are well built ! 180 kph is what the optra comfortably does! i guess most ppl don't foray into that territory often in our country! | Reply

We just bought one of the Cruze's for my wife. I am American, and we live in Mexico. this is a pretty nice little car. I am 6'5", and besides the seat not going back quite far enough for me, it is a pretty nice ride. the gas motor is a little weak, but that is to be expected with the gas mileage goals. I don't know if there is any difference in the cars here vs. India, but for me, I think it's an all right car. Granted, I don't have to drive it every day, but part time, it's ok. I don't think I'll be trading in my full size Chevy truck anytime soon for it though. | Reply

You must be using a SUV or Wagon R, People who are using tallboy version of cars or SUV's feel such cars having low roof, if you look at coupe version of any car they will be still more less. Roof of cars are kept low to have planted feeling of the car, otherwise at higher speed they feel like gliding in the air as the air drag will have higher impact on taller vehicles. Anyway there should be enough room to accomadate a passenger comfortabally, that's basic requirement of the vehicle | Reply

Chevvy should make that Captiva in India and price it well to sell in numbers. It really messed up with a very good product by importing and pricing it very negatively which really stoped it from selling in good numbers. Captiva is such a custom fit vehicle for India, It has got ground clearance, seven seater, it's diesel, rugged, high seating for good road judgement, everything needed for the Indian terrain. But at that price it became killer of it's own baby for chevvy. | Reply

Yesterday, I was able have a look at Cruze in white colour at a car accessory showroom. I am very much impressed. It has got a presence which no other car in it's segment has. It's really big and looks similar to Accord particularly headlights. Personally I am very convinced with the size of the car. It's big enough to be very very comfortable inside, Small enough to be fuel efficient, handling in city. I couldn't drive, but sat next to the owner of the car who showed all open mindedly. It's really a car which is very much sized to the requirement of the people. | Reply

this car is all muscles...so much of power that too in this segment is going to give this car an edge above competitors.our market and mindsets have to become more receptive to such products, there's a lot to offer by these car makers | Reply

Cruze indeed is a great car. Interior looks real cool. Japanese cars have a great competiton from GM in its segment. Differ with Johny, a new car may take ques from other platform. whats wrong, what we need is a great product out of it. | Reply

Cruze is a very Bold Masculine American Design on first looks. Interiors are very much of a futuristuc design and competes really well in the class of civic-corolla. But LED headlamps like in altis and civic would definitely give a style to the design. Again, good to see GM sticking to the launch date.. | Reply
