The fastest growing car manufacturer in India, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) presently markets 30 variants of passenger cars across segments. The second largest carmaker in India, Hyundai is new model i10 which made its global debut here in India in October, 2007 made a clean sweep of all the Car of the Year 2008 awards from various automobile magazines and TV shows. Hyundai is the world?s fourth largest automaker in terms of units sold and one of the Big Asian Four along with Toyota Honda and Nissan. The Hyundai logo, a slanted, stylized 'H', is said to be symbolic of two people (the company and customer) shaking hands. Hyundai means "modernity" in Korean. Recently the company has announced its plans to venture into the electrical car market. The Korean car maker has showcased the Hyundai i10 electrical in the Frankfurt Motor show, 2009.
